The purpose of processing personal data is to enable Travelpet to communicate with customers and develop the service according to their needs. The collected and stored personal data in the registries are used for customer communication and marketing, service and customer satisfaction improvement purposes, as well as for statistical purposes. The data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.

The registry collects and stores all the information that the customer fills in when visiting the website or sends to us through other means. When subscribing to the newsletter (user and marketing registry), the following information is stored in the registry:

The IP addresses of website visitors and necessary cookies for the functioning of the service are processed based on legitimate interest, including ensuring security and collecting statistical information about website visitors, in cases where they can be considered personal data. Consent is requested separately for third-party cookies when necessary.

The information to be stored in the registry is obtained from the customer through various channels such as messages sent through forms on the website, email, phone calls, social media services, agreements, customer meetings, and other situations where the customer provides their information. Contact information of company representatives and other organizational contacts can also be collected from public sources such as websites, directory services, and other companies.

Animal patient information may be disclosed with the owner's consent to another veterinarian, physiotherapist, behavior trainer, or other person significantly involved in the animal's care, if the disclosure of information is essential for treatment purposes. Information may be disclosed to authorities in accordance with applicable legislation, for example, in relation to notified animal diseases or animal welfare reasons. Information may also be transferred by the data controller outside the EU or EEA, but only if the transfer of personal data meets the legal requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation.

In the processing of the register, careful care is taken, and the information processed through the information systems is appropriately protected. When register information is stored on Internet servers, the physical and digital security of the hardware is properly taken care of. Travelpet ensures that stored information, as well as server access rights and other critical information for the security of personal data, are handled confidentially and only by employees whose job description includes it.

Each individual in the register has the right to check their stored information and request the correction of any inaccurate data or completion of incomplete information. If a person wishes to review the information stored about them or request corrections, the request should be sent in writing via email to the data controller at pet@travelpet.info. Travelpet may request the requester to provide proof of their identity if necessary. Travelpet will respond to the customer within the timeframe specified in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (usually within one month).

The individual registered in the register has the right to request the deletion of personal data concerning them from the register ('right to be forgotten'). Similarly, data subjects have other rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, such as the right to restrict the processing of personal data in certain situations. Requests should be sent in writing via email to the data controller at pet@travelpet.info. Travelpet may request the requester to provide proof of their identity if necessary. Travelpet will respond to the customer within the time frame specified in the EU data protection regulation (generally within one month).

Travelpet has the right to modify the content of this register and privacy statement as necessary to comply with its legal obligations. If incorrect, inappropriate, or outdated information is stored in the register, Travelpet may correct, delete, or add information or request the registered individual to correct, delete, or add the information.
